The panel01

What ingredients are in Protoflow?

Protoflow lists 14 lines per serving, two capsules: two vitamins and twelve plant and other lines, with a total of 1,531 mg for the twelve.

The vitamins come first on the panel: vitamin E at 13 mg (87% of the Daily Value) and niacin at 75 mg (469%). Then come the twelve lines with no Daily Value, in order of weight: hawthorn 250 mg, epimedium 250 mg, damiana 200 mg, muira puama 200 mg, ginkgo 120 mg, Chinese ginseng 120 mg, tribulus 120 mg, catuaba 84.5 mg, saw palmetto 84.5 mg, inosine 50 mg, oat straw 32 mg and cayenne 20 mg.

Each card opens a page with the label amount, the research and the main caution. The sales page names only eight herbs and prints no amounts, so the label is the source for everything on this site.

Grouped02

How are the Protoflow ingredients grouped?

They fall into four groups: two vitamins, tonic herbs, circulation herbs and the herb most often sold for the prostate, plus three small lines.

Grouping helps because the herbs in a group share the same story and the same gaps. The tonic herbs, damiana, muira puama, tribulus, catuaba and epimedium, are traditionally sold for vitality and sexual function. The circulation herbs, hawthorn and ginkgo, are sold for the heart and memory. Chinese ginseng is a general tonic with some support for erectile function. Saw palmetto stands alone as the one herb with prostate trials, and those trials were negative.

Amounts03

Which Protoflow ingredient is the largest, and which is the smallest?

Hawthorn and epimedium are the largest at 250 mg each, and cayenne is the smallest at 20 mg.

Together the top four, hawthorn, epimedium, damiana and muira puama, make 900 mg, which is 59% of the 1,531 mg. Saw palmetto, the best-known prostate herb, is 84.5 mg, or 5.5%. The table shows where each line falls.

Oat straw32 mg2.1%No
Cayenne20 mg1.3%Yes

The shares are rounded. The vitamins are not in the total, since they weigh 88 mg between them and are counted by Daily Value.

Doses04

How do the label amounts compare with doses used in studies?

For the herbs with a trial dose, the label holds less: saw palmetto is about a quarter of 320 mg and muira puama is below the reviewed range.

The bars set each label amount against a reference. Treat them as a guide only, since studies use single ingredients, often as standardized extracts, and the label gives no extract details.

Other ingredients05

What are the other ingredients in Protoflow capsules?

The label lists rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, soy protein concentrate and water.

Gelatin is an animal product, so the capsules are not vegan. Soy protein concentrate is a major allergen, and men with a soy allergy should not take the product without asking a doctor. Maltodextrin is a processed carbohydrate. Magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide are flow agents, the kind of "non-essential" fillers the sales page says are absent.

That clashes with the sales-page lines "100% free of chemical coating and other non-essential fillers" and "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free". The label is the authority on what is in the bottle. If any of those claims matters to you, ask the order desk before ordering. Our legit check lists every conflict we found.

Cautions06

Which Protoflow ingredients need a doctor's advice first?

Niacin, ginkgo and vitamin E carry the clearest cautions, and the label itself asks you to consult a physician if you take any medication.

Niacin at 75 mg is above the 35 mg adult upper limit and causes flushing (NIH ODS, Niacin). Ginkgo (NCCIH, Ginkgo) and vitamin E (NIH ODS, Vitamin E) can each add to bleeding risk when combined with blood thinners. Chinese ginseng may interfere with clotting (NCCIH, Asian Ginseng). Tribulus has rare liver and kidney reports (MSK, Tribulus terrestris). Epimedium is advised against in cardiovascular disease (MSK, Epimedium).

None of that means Protoflow will harm you. It means a pharmacist should read the panel next to your medicine list. Keep taking prescribed medicine and do not stop it for a supplement. For urinary symptoms, see a doctor, since an enlarged prostate, an infection and diabetes can all be behind them (NIDDK, Enlarged Prostate (BPH)).

FAQ07

Protoflow ingredients: questions answered

How many ingredients are in Protoflow?

The label lists 14 active lines per serving: vitamin E, niacin and twelve plant and other lines. Seven other ingredients are listed separately, such as gelatin and rice flour.

What is the main ingredient in Protoflow?

By weight, hawthorn and epimedium are tied at 250 mg per serving. Saw palmetto, which people often expect to be the main one, is only 84.5 mg.

Does Protoflow contain saw palmetto?

Yes, 84.5 mg per serving. Two NIH-funded trials found saw palmetto alone did not improve enlarged prostate symptoms.

Are the Protoflow ingredients natural?

Most lines are plants, but vitamin E is a succinate form and inosine is a purine compound. The word natural has no fixed legal meaning on a supplement label.

Does Protoflow contain caffeine or stimulants?

The label lists no caffeine. Damiana and cayenne are traditionally described as stimulating, and Chinese ginseng can cause insomnia, so sensitive people should watch their sleep.

Where can I see the full Protoflow label?

The supplement facts page shows the whole panel with each line explained, and the label image is on the home page and the facts page.

Are there fillers in Protoflow?

The label lists magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin and rice flour among other ingredients. The sales page claims no non-essential fillers, which the label does not match.
